Included services and important information about annual travel insurance:
Valid worldwide for an unlimited number of journeys within a year.
The sums insured apply per case or per event. The assistance insurance benefit provides limited cover for certain services.
The insurance policy is extended automatically unless it is terminated at least one month prior to the expiry date.
Only available to people who are permanently resident in Switzerland.
A family insurance policy can be taken out for two people
or more who live in the same household. Your premium is calculated taking into account the age of all insured persons in the household. The age of the oldest person is given particular weighting, as it represents a significant risk factor.
If the policyholder has not yet reached the age of 18, the insurance must be taken out by an adult (e.g. parent). The minor must be declared as "insured person".
The maximum benefit for visits is CHF 5'000. In the event of search and rescue costs, the maximum cover is:
Secure Travel Basic = CHF 10'000
Secure Travel Plus = CHF 20'000
Secure Travel Complete = CHF 30'000
The benefit applies in Switzerland and Europe.
Costs for medically necessary treatment by a doctor / in hospital as well as costs of medically prescribed medicines and medical treatment up to CHF 1'000'000. Medical expenses abroad only apply abroad and not in Switzerland. The insurance benefit includes dental care with a maximum benefit of CHF 3'000.
Applies only for travel protection Plus and Complete. The sums insured under the insurance benefits apply per case or per event. In the event of theft, a deductible of CHF 200 shall apply per claim.

Annual travel insurance for families is ideal if you regularly travel as a family or couple and want to cover everyone living in the same household with a single solution. The premium calculation takes into account the age of all insured persons.

With Secure Travel Complete, you benefit from an exceptionally high level of cover for medical expenses abroad of up to CHF 1'000'000, including support with organisation and coordination in the event of an emergency. This means you are significantly better financially protected, even in the case of unexpected treatment.
Important note:
Cover for medical expenses abroad applies to trips worldwide, with the exception of Switzerland, Liechtenstein and the country in which you have your main residence, if different.
Breakdown and accident assistance. Travel with peace of mind by car
If you travel with your own car, breakdown and accident assistance (Plus or Complete package) is a valuable add-on. It applies in Switzerland and across Europe and ensures you are not left on your own in the event of a breakdown or accident – ideal for holiday trips by car or weekend getaways.
Insure your baggage and personal belongings as well
With Secure Travel Plus or Complete, your baggage is covered, for example in the event of theft or damage. In the case of delayed baggage, essential replacement purchases are reimbursed. This provides additional security and comfort, especially on tours or activity holidays.
Travelling with an insurance certificate
Increasingly, travellers worldwide are required to present an insurance certificate with details of the insured persons and the insurance benefits included when entering the country. When you take out Allianz Travel travel insurance, we send you this certificate together with the policy and the General terms and conditions of insurance (GTC). The "Certificate of insurance" is always issued in English.
