Medical costs abroad
Costs for medically necessary treatment by a doctor / in hospital as well as costs of medically prescribed medicines and medical treatment up to CHF 1'000'000.–. Medical expenses abroad only apply abroad and not in Switzerland. The insurance benefit includes dental care with a maximum benefit of CHF 3'000.–.
Travel baggage
Applies only for travel protection Premium PLUS.
The sum insured for travel baggage applies per year. In the event of theft, a deductible of CHF 200.– shall apply per case.
Breakdown and accident assistance
The benefit applies in Switzerland and Europe.
Sums insured
The sums insured apply per case or per event. The assistance insurance benefit provides limited cover for certain services.
General terms and conditions
The General terms and conditions of insurance (GTC) apply. The specifically insured risks and benefits as well as exclusions or limitations of our insurance policies are described in detail in the General terms and conditions of insurance (GTC).
Travelling with an insurance certificate
Increasingly, travellers worldwide are required to present an insurance certificate with details of the insured persons and the insurance benefits included when entering the country. When you take out Allianz Travel travel insurance, we send you this certificate together with the policy and the General terms and conditions of insurance (GTC). The "Certificate of insurance" is always issued in English.

Junior note.
If the policyholder has not yet reached the age of 18, the insurance must be taken out by an adult (e.g. parent). The minor must be declared as "insured person".
