Services
Finding hospitals abroad, advance payment to a hospital, advisory service for problems during the trip and 24 hour medical advisory service. No assumption of costs in services included.
Area of validity
Valid worldwide for a journey lasting up to 120 days.
Sums insured
The sums insured apply per case or per event. The assistance insurance benefit provides limited cover for certain services.
Insurance benefits before your trip
The travel cancellation insurance benefit refers to the stated total trip costs.
Residence
Also available to people resident abroad if the trip is booked in Switzerland.
Family
A family insurance policy can be taken out for two people
or more who live in the same household.
Age
If the policyholder has not yet reached the age of 18, the insurance must be taken out by an adult (e.g. parent). The minor must be declared as "insured person".
Emergency medical assistance
The maximum benefit for visits is CHF 5'000. In the event of search and rescue costs, the maximum cover is:

Secure Single Trip Plus = CHF 20'000
Secure Single Trip Complete = CHF 30'000
Breakdown and accident assistance
The benefit applies in Switzerland and Europe.
Medical costs abroad
Costs for medically necessary treatment by a doctor / in hospital as well as costs of medically prescribed medicines and medical treatment up to CHF 1'000'000. Medical expenses abroad only apply abroad and not in Switzerland. The insurance benefit includes dental care with a maximum benefit of CHF 3'000.
Travel baggage
Applies only for travel protection Plus and Complete. The sums insured under the insurance benefits apply per case or per event. In the event of theft, a deductible of CHF 200 shall apply per claim.
General terms and conditions
The General terms and conditions of insurance (GTC) apply. The specifically insured risks and benefits as well as exclusions or limitations of our insurance policies are described in detail in the General terms and conditions of insurance (GTC).
Travelling with an insurance certificate
Increasingly, travellers worldwide are required to present an insurance certificate with details of the insured persons and the insurance benefits included when entering the country. When you take out Allianz Travel travel insurance, we send you this certificate together with the policy and the General terms and conditions of insurance (GTC). The "Certificate of insurance" is always issued in English.
