A Schengen travel insurance (guest insurance) plan offers your visitors from abroad a safe stay in Switzerland, and the Schengen states. The guest insurance plan protects visitors from the high costs of illness or accident during their stay and is a prerequisite for a visa. You and your guests can enjoy a trouble-free stay – with a Schengen travel insurance plan from Allianz Travel.

A sum insured of CHF 50'000 is necessary to obtain a visa (Switzerland or Schengen states).
To obtain a visa for Switzerland or the other Schengen states, sickness and accident insurance with a sum insured of at least CHF 50'000 is necessary. It is important that coverage extends to the whole Schengen area and is valid for at least 180 days with a low deductible.

Citizens from some countries, such as Brazil, do not need a visa, but still require travel insurance, which allows your guests to move freely in the Schengen area. With this type of medical expenses insurance from Allianz Global Assistance (Schengen visa Insurance), your guests can get coverage starting at a low sum insured for a small premium.

As regulations can often change, it is advised to check visa requirements with the appropriate embassy or consulate. You can also find additional information on the website of the Federal Office for Migration. With Allianz Travel, you will find a Schengen travel insurance (or Travel insurance for Schengen visa Switzerland) plan that exactly meets these requirements. Guests who do not need a visa for their visit can take out guest insurance from Allianz Travel with a sum insured from as little as CHF 20'000.

By taking out the guest insurance from Allianz Travel, you benefit from the services of our Swiss Service Center.
The 24-hour emergency call centre based in Zurich offers your guests from abroad first-class assistance services in the event
of illness or accident around the clock.
If the policyholder has not yet reached the age of 18, the insurance must be taken out by an adult (e.g. parent). The minor must be declared as "insured person".
